Register Now for SOME’s 20th Annual Thanksgiving Day Trot for Hunger 5K

Looking for a healthy way to start your Turkey Day this year? SOME’s 20th Annual Thanksgiving Day Trot for Hunger 5K is back this year and will be more moving and memorable than ever. This popular Thanksgiving Day race is brought to the city by So Others Might Eat, or SOME. They’re a local nonprofit who provides community support for individuals suffering with mental health issues, homelessness, addiction, and more. Over the past year they’ve provided nearly 368,000 meals, over 12,000 showers, over 38,000 sets of clothing, and provided over 26,000 doctor and dentist visits for those in need. Their impact is huge, but they need the support of the community to continue this critical work!

The easiest way to support is to lace up your shoes and run on Thanksgiving morning. Registration can be completed online and is $50 per race participant. You can run the in-person route which starts at Freedom Plaza or you can run it on your own to work off that turkey later in the day with their virtual option they’re continuing this year. Up to you, but either way, your registration will make an impact!
