Enjoy Some Seasonal Shopping at the Downtown Holiday Market
The 16th annual Downtown Holiday Market got a major upgrade this year! When it opened at the end of November, it debuted a much larger space—two full blocks spreading out from the central hub of 8th and F Streets. That not only allows for extra vendors (more than 70 in all), but also for safe, socially-distanced shopping.
The market has always been held outside, another factor that should make guests comfortable coming out to support local small businesses! The Downtown Holiday Market is open Tuesday through Sunday, plus an added Monday on December 21st. Check in at the single entryway on F Street, right in front of the National Portrait Gallery, then follow the one-way signs to make your way through the market while maintaining a safe distance from others. Along the way, pick up a variety of holiday gifts for friends and family, and grab a hot beverage or some fresh bites from the food vendors! Everyone at the market (including vendors and guests) are required to wear masks, which will be provided if you don’t have one. There will also be hand-sanitizing stations sprinkled throughout the market.
