Don’t Miss the National Memorial Day Concert at the West Lawn on May 26th

People around the country tune in to watch the National Memorial Day Concert at West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol on PBS every year, but since you live in D.C., you can actually see it in person. The public crowds the West Lawn on Sunday, May 26th to celebrate the eve of Memorial Day with this patriotic concert.

The concert begins promptly at 8 p.m. as an homage to the brave men and women who have defended the nation over the years. Celebrate their sacrifice as talented musicians play patriotic tunes on a national stage. The performances are broken up with documentary footage and dramatic readings that honor military service members, a chance to reflect on the past year and unite as a nation. Head to the West Lawn for the concert or tune in on your TV if you can’t make it.
